癌症的预防自然疗法

癌症是人类的主要死因。随着年龄的增加和接触的致癌物质的增多,患癌症的可能性也就增大。烟是一种强致癌物。而许多致癌物还存在于饮食中,甚至水果和蔬菜中也有。

在我们详细探讨天然产品有助于预防癌症之前,有必要先讨论一下如何评估医学证据。为了证实某种补品能降低癌症的发生率,我们需要开展长期的双盲研究。在这种研究中,部分参与者给予补品而其余的人给予安慰剂,然后比较两者的结果。然而,相对来说,这种类型的研究开展的很少。对于绝大多数补品,他们预防癌症的证据是来自观察性研究或动物研究,因此可靠性就差点。比如说,观察性研究发现那些饮食中富含某种维生素的人群发生某种特定癌症的几率要低一些。但是,在这些研究中很难排除其它可能起癌症预防作用的因素。例如,那些摄取维生素的人们可能运动比较多,或者很注意用其它方式保护自己的健康。这些混杂因素使得观察性研究的结果可靠性打折。

可能预防癌症的天然疗法有:

  • 维生素E:很多观察性研究发现摄取大量维生素E能降低多种癌症的发生率,包括胃癌、口腔癌、咽癌、喉癌、肺癌、肝癌和前列腺癌等。该结论得到一项涉及29133例吸烟者的双盲研究的支持。在这项研究中,那些每天服用合成维生素E 50mg,持续5-8年的人群,他们前列腺癌的发生率降低了32%,而前列腺癌死亡率降低了41%。

  • 硒 (Selenium):人们早就知道严重缺乏元素硒会增加患癌症的危险性。一项双盲研究发现:即使在没有缺硒的情况下补充硒也能预防癌症发生。该项研究随访了1312例严重缺硒的人群。其中,一半的参与者每天给予200mg硒,而另外一半每天给予安慰剂。参与者平均治疗了2.8年,随访约6年。结果显示服用硒的人群总体上癌症的死亡率降低了50%,其中肺癌死亡率降低了40%,结肠癌50%,前列腺癌66%。
