湿疹 (Eczema) 是一种皮肤过敏，主要表现为脸、肘、膝、腕等部位出现炎性斑片，并伴有瘙痒。湿疹最常见于婴儿和小儿童。它的常规治疗主要有抗组胺药和外用激素类乳膏。可能有效的自然疗法有：
- 益生菌 (Probiotics)：即一些有益健康的细菌，其中最有名的要数用来做酸奶的乳酸杆菌。益生菌有调节免疫的作用。一份对众多研究进行的综合分析证实：益生菌有助于减少婴幼儿及儿童出现湿疹的风险。随后发表的两份综述也发现：益生菌能有效预防儿童湿疹，尤其是如果母亲在怀孕期间以及小孩在出生后都服用。
- 母乳喂养：在婴儿的配方奶粉中有些过敏性物质，早期接触这些物质可能会造成一些小孩出现湿疹。因此，理论上讲，母乳喂养可能可以预防这种情况的发生。该理论得到一项大样本研究的支持，该研究涉及17000名妇女和她们的孩子。结果显示母乳喂养能使湿疹的发生率减少将近一半。
